It's official! Time trials is the official kick-off to our summer swim season, and we can't be any more PUMPED! We are going to run this as close to a dual meet as possible, so here are some reminders for Time Trials:

• Available swimmers AND divers are invited to attend
• Arrival time for everyone is 4:40 pm
• Swim Warmups - 4:45 - 5:15 pm
• Dive Warmups - 5:15 - 5:40 pm
• Start Time is 6:00 PM
• Everyone should sit on the "Otter" side of the pool (which is the grove side with the diving well)
• Most swim athletes will be entered in at least 2 events with a max of 6 events depending on the age group
• Divers will showcase 2 of their upcoming dives (Coach Tara and Sarah approved of course)

Time trials are set up like a meet, with each swimmer competing in any of the 4 strokes (Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle). This gives coaches a baseline to measure progress, as well as help decide which swimmers will swim which events meets. Time trials also help familiarize new swimmers and volunteers with how a meet runs and what each volunteer job entails. 

The ABE League mini meet will be Saturday July 13th at Northwest Swim Club. Click here for directions. They can also be found on the ABE League tab in SwimTopia. This is a fun, non-DQ meet for swimmers 10 and under. Swimmers can pick their own events that they want to swim. You can do that right on the declaration page, here. You may sign up for up to 5 events and the cost is $5 per individual event, $10 per relay (if we participate). Payment by check or cash can be left, in a sealed envelope with your last name written on it, in the Killar Family Otterbox. Entries and payment are due by Tuesday July 9th at noon. NO late entries or payments will be accepted.

Meet arrival times will be 7:50am or 8:20am depending on OV’s warm up assignment. Once warm up assignments are finalized on Thursday, July 11th, we will share our exact arrival and warm up times. The meet will start at 9:00am.
