Orchard View Swim Club (Otters)

Dear OVST Families and Friends,

Welcome to the OVST 2026 summer swim & dive registration! We are looking forward to an OTTERIFIC summer season! We hope you’re getting ready to have a lot of FUN, because WE ARE!

Some important details about registration & the season:

• All participants must complete all sections of registration in SwimTopia and submit payment in full by the first day of practice. No athlete will be allowed to participate until all information (including payment) is completed and received. (Exception: New team members needing an evaluation prior to joining.)
• New Team Members will be evaluated for readiness, safety, and to confirm practice group assignments prior to the start of practices. All new swimmers must meet the following requirements:
  • Confident pool entry
  • 9 & above - swim 50 meters (2 laps), freestyle stroke
  • 8 & unders - swim 25 meters (1 lap), freestyle stroke

  *Please note that coaches have full discretion on who they feel are ready to join the swim team.

• Practice Groups will be based on age. Swimming & diving practices will be shared within the next couple of weeks. 
• Diving Note: Each diver will need to meet diving eligibility requirements to compete in meets.

Registration fees are as follows:

• Swimming = $100
• Diving = $100
• Swimming & diving = $100
• All payments can be made via credit card or cash. 

As in every year, volunteering is essential to the success of our swim & dive team—it keeps our meets running smoothly, and shows our athletes that we’re all in this together. From timing races, judging dives, to helping with concessions or organizing events, every volunteer plays a key role in creating a positive, supportive environment where our swimmers can thrive. Your time and energy truly make a difference.

• Volunteering at meets is required by ALL FAMILIES. All volunteer opportunities will be noted in the jobs section within each swim meet event listed in SwimTopia. As a reminder, each family is required to fulfill at least 3 volunteer openings. If additional slots need to be filled, we will notify everyone.
• Snack Bar Donations will be required for all families. As with volunteer opportunities, all snack bar donations will be listed within each swim meet event in SwimTopia. A minimum of 3 donations is required of each family in addition to the beginning of the season drink donation. Spreadsheet to be sent out at a later date.

One last item… Our team suit is staying the same as previous years – a black Suit with the Otter logo. Team suits and caps will be ordered through D&J. More information to follow. If you need a fitting, go to D&J Sporting Goods in Coopersburg to place your order!
