Hey Otter Families!

WOW. What a wild, unforgettable week we just had!

Between 2 and a half meets 🤪, a legendary Mini Meet, and an epic Teen Night, Orchard View was buzzing with Otter energy, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

🍭 Mini Meet Magic

Let’s be honest… OV’s 2025 Candyland Mini Meet is officially going down in history as the BEST in the league. The energy, the decorations, the seamless organization; it was incredible. We are in awe of the dedication and heart our families poured into every single detail. This was a true team effort.

A massive thank you to the Raymars and their extended family, Micios, Dojacks, Atiyehs, Korens, Bells, Stahleys, Rosses, Caseys, and Kurs, along with every single volunteer who pitched in to make the day so special. ❤️

And of course, Chef Josh & Kylie. You two continue to prove that OV isn’t just about swimming… people show up for the FOOD too! Smash burgers forever!

We also want to shout out our amazing coaches for everything they do for our Otters — the time, the patience, the love they give our kids is unmatched. ❤️ And last but certainly not least — our kiddos. Your energy, smiles, and swims made this meet extra magical. You make us so proud every time you hit the water. 🦦💫

🌟 Teen Night Glow-Up

Also on Saturday, was teen night.  Teen Night was a hit! 30+ teens came, ate their weight in pizza, glowed in the dark, and played the longest (and wettest) volleyball game ever.

Huge thanks to the Swim Club Pool Board for giving our big kids this awesome opportunity. The smiles said it all. 💫

🗓️ What’s Coming Up

We’ve got a big week ahead to wrap up the season strong:

🏠 Monday, July 14th – Make-Up Meet vs. Brookside (Home)

  • Arrival for ALL swimmers and divers by 4:40 PM
  • Please be sure to check the snack bar donation and volunteer sign-ups — we still have several openings that need to be filled to make the meet run smoothly. If you’re able to help in any way, please jump in and sign up!

    • 🚗 Tuesday, July 15th – Away Meet at Kaybrook Green Hills

  • Divers arrive by 4:40 PM
  • Swimmers arrive by 5:00 PM

    • This meet is one of our biggest of the season, and it’s always special because we’re continuing a beloved tradition…

    🥫 Parkland Cares Food Drive

    We’re teaming up with Kaybrook to support Parkland Cares Food Pantry! Please consider bringing any of the following to the meet:

  • Small boxes of granola bars
  • Regular-size peanut butter
  • Small boxes of pancake mix

    • 📦 No expired items, please. Double-check those dates!

    🎉 End of Season Party – Thursday, July 17th @ Orchard View (5–8 PM)

    Let’s celebrate our amazing season with an evening of swimming, eating, and FUN with your team!

    RSVP in SwimTopia so we know how much food to prep. We’ll be grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, and (you guessed it) smash burgers thanks to Josh & Kylie! 🍔🌭

    We just ask that each family brings a side dish or dessert to share with the team. You can note what you’re bringing in the Jobs section of the RSVP (just like we do for snack bar).

    That’s it for now — we’re heading into the final stretch, and we couldn’t be more proud of this Otter crew. Let’s keep the spirit high, help where we can, and finish the season STRONG!
