🦦 Time Trials THIS WEEK — Don’t Forget to Declare & Bring the FUN! 🥳

🚨 Important Note:

This week is going to be a VERY busy week for emails and information. THANK YOU in advance for your patience as we communicate everything you need to know! The first week of the season is always a little crazy with lots of details flying your way, but rest assured, it’s all important info to help make sure our season gets off to a smooth start. 💦🦦


It’s official --- Time Trials is the official kick-off to our summer swim season, and we couldn’t be any more PUMPED! 🥳

Time Trials are a practice meet that allows both swimmers and parents to experience a full swim meet environment before we dive into the regular season. We’ll be running this meet as close to a dual meet as possible, which means it’s an awesome chance for everyone to shake off the rust and get back into that Otter groove!


📝 Meet Declaration Reminder:

You MUST declare your swimmer for Time Trials by 12 NOON on Monday.

Coach Kushner needs to know exactly who is attending to create accurate lineups.

👉 If you need a refresher on how to declare, or if this is your first time declaring for a meet, we :

  • Go to the Home tab in SwimTopia
  • Head to the Documents section
  • Look for the Tips Sheet with step-by-step instructions

  • 🕰 Time Trials Schedule:

  • Swimmer Arrival Time: 4:40 PM
  • Diver-Only Arrival Time: 5:05 PM (for those ONLY diving and not swimming)
  • Swim Warm-Ups: 4:50 - 5:15 PM
  • Dive Warm-Ups: 5:15 - 5:40 PM
  • Timer Meeting: 5:45 PM
  • Meet Start Time: 6:00 PM

  • 🤿 Meet Logistics:

    Even though we’re only competing against ourselves, we’re treating this like a real meet so both athletes and parents can practice!

  • Set up on the grove side of the pool (diving well side)
  • Pop-up tents welcome! Please place them against the fence
  • Bring chairs (though you’ll be too busy cheering to sit much!)
  • Bring your Otter Spirit & energy! 🎉 Our cheering section is the best in the league!

  • 🌭 FOOD… because we all know it’s really about the food:

  • The team will provide hot dogs and hamburgers for everyone! 🍔🌭
  • We ask that families BYOD (Bring Your Own Drinks)
  • And please bring a side dish or dessert to share with everyone! Click Here to let us know what you're going to bring. 

  • ⛈ Weather Reminder:

    There’s a chance of rain in the afternoon. 🌧 Please keep an eye on your email and SwimTopia for any updates.

    The safety of our athletes, volunteers, and families is always our #1 priority.

    For our divers, especially, if it begins to rain, we may need to call diving (because rain + diving board = bad combo). If we do have to cancel diving but are able to continue swimming, Coach Sarah, Coach Tara, and Coach Hayden ask that our divers still come to cheer on their teammates and go over expectations for Thursday’s meet against Lehigh Country Club.


    We are SO excited to see all of you at the pool and officially kick off what’s going to be an amazing season full of fun, fast swims, high dives, loud cheers, and lots of Otter spirit!
