As promised, (I know my planners have been biting at the bit for this...) I'm attaching a PRELIMINARY summer meet schedule. I think, for the most part, our meets aren't changing. There may be some other teams that have some things shuffled around, but we should be set. 

A few items to note:

- One big thing you'll notice on the schedule is a new team has been added. Effective this season, Northampton Country Club has joined the ABE League. They are seated in the Valley Division. OV is in the ABE Division. Orchard View and Westwood are the only two teams that will not be competing against them; OV, specifically, because we are the only team without a bye week this summer. - Time Trials.  Orchard View's time trials meet is set for Tuesday, June 17th.  If you're not familiar with a "time trial" meet, very simply, it's an Orchard View only swim meet that is run as close to a competition swim meet as possible. Our coaches use this meet to get an idea regarding the swimmers, their times, and how they swim each stroke, all so Coach Kushner can start thinking about building the line-ups for the season. All the swimmers will do starts, and we'll even have timers. Events are run in the same order as an official meet. We even have the team sit on the grove side of the pool, like we would during a regular home meet. The only big difference is that since we don't have an official there, we don't count their times.

All this information means one thing.....  We're getting closer to the start of the season, and I hope you're all as excited as we are.

PS - We're still looking for volunteers to join our Mini-Meet committee.  It truly takes a village to host an event like this. If you have a 10 and under swimmer, I really do encourage you to get involved in this event. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our team spirit, welcome visiting swimmers, and create a memorable experience for our youngest competitors. Reminder: It's a non-DQ event centered around fun and building confidence in the water.
