Hello Otter Families –

Welcome to the 2024 ABE League Championship season. Over the next few days, we will send out communications around each Championship meet; Silver Champs, Diving Champs, and our Championship Meet. Final lineups were sent out by Coach Kushner this morning and are listed in SwimTopia. Regarding logistics, please take a look at some high-level information below:

Silver Champs:

• Saturday, July 20^th (Rain date, Sunday, July 21^st)
• Hosted by Brookside Country Club
• Meet start time is 8:30
• Warm-ups will be either 7:15 – 7:45am or 7:45 – 8:15am, depending on our warm-up group. The exact group and time will be sent out once we receive it from Brookside.
• Swimmers aged 14 and younger and who are not swimming in our Champs meet are eligible to swim.
• We are REQUIRED to provide 2 volunteers. Please use THIS LINK to sign up.
• Silver Champs will be a CASH ONLY meet. There will be food throughout the meet along with a poolside bar that has snack options.
• The entrance fee is $5.00 CASH.
• BCC has a NO DENIM policy on grounds.
• Parking is EXTREMELY LIMITED at Brookside. All spectator parking (including parent parking) will be at Willow Lane Elementary School. There will be shuttle buses from Willow Lane to Brookside. Car-pooling is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Attached are their parking and swimmer drop-off plans.
• If anyone needs a handicapped spot, please get in touch with Brookside directly at [email protected]. Those will be located directly across the pool, not at Willow Lane.

Diving Champs

• Wednesday, July 24^th
• Hosted by Saucon Valley Country Club
• Meet start time for 12 & Unders is 4:00pm
• Meet start time for 13 & Overs is 6:00pm
• Warm-up times for 12 & unders is 3:00pm & 5:30pm for 13 & overs
• SVCC will be offering a buffet from 5 – 7 pm. The cost is $15 for children and $20 for adults. There will also be snacks for sale before and after the buffet.
• SVCC has a NO DENIM policy on grounds.

ABE Championships:

• Friday, July 26^th & Saturday, July 27^th
• Hosted by Lehigh Country Club
• Meet session start times are a little different than in past years so please take note:
  • Friday 7/26
    • Crescendo – 5:00pm
    • 13-14 & 15 & Over Groups - 5:05pm
  • Saturday, 7/27
    • 9-10 & 11-12 Groups – 8:30am
    • 8 & Under Group – 1:30pm
• Warm-up times will be communicated once we receive it from LCC.
• This is a qualifying meet where the swimmers with the 3 top times in each event qualify. 
• Lehigh has a NO DENIM policy on grounds.

In the coming days, we anticipate receiving additional information on all the championship meets. As we receive it, we will share that information as much as we can so we just ask for your patience, and we sift through it all.

One last item... Last Day of Practice for Swim and Dive -  Later today we will be sending out an updated swim practice schedule for next week so be on the lookout. Monday will be the LAST DAY of practice for those NOT swimming at ABE Championships.

Today is the LAST DAY of practice for those NOT diving in Diving Champs on Wednesday. Next week's diving practice times will remain the same for anyone diving in Champs.
