IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Team Like No Otter! 7.15.24 Weekly Update

Good morning, Otters!
WOW! What a week our Otters had last week! Two away meets at Stonecrest and Brookside and then our Home Meet against The Parents. Definitely saw some best time swims and some possible DQ's (on the parent's team of course).
First, I'm going to apologize for this lengthy email but we have a lot of information to communicate for both swimming & diving. Stay with me - I promise it'll be worth it. The next 2 weeks are going to be big for our Otters. This week's fun begins with the last dual meet against rival Kaybrook on Tuesday. Kaybrook Meet 7.16.24

This is set to be our biggest meet this season, and I don't just mean the competition, although Kaybrook will come to compete! Kaybrook and Orchard View are 2 of the biggest teams in the ABE League so we are expecting A LOT of people to attend from both sides. And that means we need your help. Please take a look at the meet sign-ups in Swimtopia for any open volunteer slots and snack bar donations and consider filling them. One volunteer position we know we will need to fill is 3-4 parking lot attendants. That is a critical role that we need to fill for Tuesday.

Our Otters aren't the only ones going for records on Tuesday... So is the weather. At last look, the temp is going to hover around 96 - 99 degrees with a real feel in the 105 range. Our snack bar will be open and in full swing with Chef Josh on the grill again with lots of cold drinks but if you think you're going to need it, bring some extra cool drinks with you.

Wacky Quacky Wednesday 7.17.24 🦆

It's going to be exactly like it sounds....  A day full of wacky and a pool full of quacky! Feel free to wear whatever wacky or quacky anything you have! The wackier the better.

2024 Diving Showcase 7.17.24

Any diver that qualifies for this meet was sent a separate email with registration instructions. If you plan on attending Wednesday's diving showcase at Trident, you must register using the link that was sent to you. Coach Sarah & Coach Tara must submit all entries by tonight at 5 so if you haven't registered yet and would like to, please do so ASAP by CLICKING HERE.

Team Picnic 7.18.24 🧺

Calling all our Party Animals!!! (Specifically, Otters!) 🦦

We are so excited to announce that this year’s end-of-year party will be held at Orchard View again! And you know what that means…………. FUN, FOOD & SWIMMING! Make sure to bring your suits, goggles, towels, and whatever else you’ll need to have a fun-filled swim party. I'm not going to lie. The fact that we're talking about our year-end team picnic has got me all up in my feelings.

To RSVP, please go to our Meets & Events page in SwimTopia and find the "Year End Team Picnic" Event. Please RSVP as soon as you can so we can plan appropriately. Party time is 5:00 - 8:00pm

Hope to see everyone there!

Sundae Fundae Fridae (Get it?) 🍨

Is there any way better to wrap up the week than with a Sundae Party?  I think not! At the end of each group practice, sundaes in the grove!

Friday is also Crazy Sock Day so wear your craziest, longest, most colorful socks. you can find! They don't even have to match (or be yours!)

Last but not least, please make sure you're declaring for any upcoming meets. Coach Kushner has sent a few emails with instructions on what needs to be done. Please take some time today to complete any outstanding meet declarations.

PHEW - Thank you for staying with me but I hope you see how important this information was. I know this was a lot so if you have any questions on anything here, or in general, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help in any way we can. We got this Otters!
